Y Tywyddiadur

Prif nodwedd y gronfa hon yw'r dyddiad, mis neu'r flwyddyn penodol sydd yn sail i'ch cofnod. Mae'r tywydd wrth gwrs yn rhywbeth sydd yn digwydd "rwan", pryd bynnag yw neu oedd "rwan" i'r cofnodwr gwreiddiol; y bore yma efallai, diwrnod arbennig yn eich plentyndod, neu sylw mewn dyddiadur dwy ganrif yn ôl yn sir Feirionnydd.... efallai. Neu efallai bod cysylltiad y sylw a'r tywydd yn ymddangosiadol wan iawn: tylluan wen yn hela am dri o'r gloch y prynhawn ar ddyddiad arbennig o Chwefror; clywed y gog yn canu ddiwedd mis Mawrth; teilo cae at datws ddechrau’r gwanwyn. Tywydd....? efallai! Ffenoleg...? yn bendant.

Mae'r Tywyddiadur yn rhyngweithiol - hynny yw, mi allwch rhoi gwybodaeth i fewn iddo, neu chael gwybodaeth allan. Y cam cyntaf y byddwch yn cymryd wrth fentro ar y dudalen hon felly fydd dewis pa un rydych am ei wneud.... Chwilio ynteu Mewnbynnu (blychod chwilio ar y chwith mewn glas, blychod mewnbynnu ar y dde mewn coch).

(Ewch i’r gwaelod am ganllawiau cychwynnol).

CHWILIO: Chi biau’r dewis: mis neu gyfnod arbennig efallai, blwyddyn, gair (neu ddau air), neu ddiwrnod penodol (treiwch ddyddiad eich pen-blwydd). Cewch wneud cyfuniad o rhain.

MEWNBYNNU: Trwy fewnbynnu cewch ychwanegu at y gronfa a chreu adnodd mwy cynhwysfawr fyth i ymchwilwyr fel chi. Dim ond tri amod sydd ar eich cofnod: ei fod yn cynnwys rhyw fath o ddyddiad, lleoliad (bras neu fanwl), a bod y cofnod rhywfodd yn gysylltiedig â’r amgylchedd.

PORTMADOC. THE WEATHER.—The long spell of dry weather HAS at length ended and early this week a welcome fall of rain set in. The cold dry weather of the past month [Ebrill 1891] has retarded the growth of vegetation and many fields have an appearance of winter than of spring, but the fall of rain will, it is hoped, soon alter this. The cuckoo and the swallow have both made their appearance here.

THE CUCKOO. Mr D. Meyler, of 84, Brynymor-road, Swansea, writes under date April 18th :—"Noticing in one of your recent issues a communication from a gentleman who has interested himself for some years in the date of the arrival of the swallow and cuckoo in this country, and having mislaid his I name and address, perhaps, for his information and that of your readers generally, you will please insert in an early issue that the cuckoo was heard this morning by a friend of mine in the neighbourhood of Llantrisant." Cardiff Times 9 Ebrill 1892 THE CUCKOO. C. W. writes from Harrow, April 5th. :— Some members of my family distinctly heard the cuckoo this morning about 10 o`clock, and I saw five swallows circling high up in the soft azure at midday, which is unusually early, I think, for these welcome messengers of spring to appear. The frogs, too, were enjoying their peculiar chant in a pond as I passed by. May nature be kind. once more and confirm this happy change

Cambrian News and Merionethshire Standard 6 Mai 1892 THE SEASON.—The season at Barmouth has had a very successful commencement. During Easter [Sul y Pasg 17 Ebrill 1892] there was a larger number of visitors in the town than has ever been known before. The weather has been unusually cold for the spring but it has compared very favourably with weather experienced in the Midlands and there has scarcely been a day during the past month when visitors could not pleasantly get about the country and enjoy the scenery in its beautiful spring dress.

THE CUCKOO. This harbinger of spring was heard last Sunday evening [24 Ebrill 1892], in that portion of "Little Switzerland known as Alteryn, giving voice by several gentlemen. Traditionally the cuckoo goes to Pontypool Fair, held towards the close of last week, so that it is only a couple of days late this year. It has been seen on the wing but silent in other parts of the suburbs of Newport. The. wags have it that the bird has been 1D search of the new Public Park, which still remains in its virgin state of pasture land.

Cambrian News and Merionethshire Standard 6 Mai 1892 TOWYN. THE CUCKOO AT LAST. - April went by on the wings of the cold east wind and the cuckoo`s voice was not heard in the valleys, but with the advent of May, though shrouded with frost, the cuckoo, weak and hoarse, was heard in woods round Sandilands Mid Bodtalog. It is much to be hoped that with the coming of the cuckoo, the frost, the snow, the cold biting wind, and the sense of dreariness will depart to those regions to which man is a stranger.
